About us

Learning Works is an educational consultancy based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. We focus on learning and learners... from those with special needs and barriers to learning to the gifted & talented. Our 'expertise' is grounded in extensive experience of teaching children with additional and special educational needs.

This site is dedicated to our ongoing work within dyscalculia and maths learning difficulties which has grown since the publication of our bestselling book ‘Working with Dyscalculia’ in 2003.

Each year we organise and promote three major training opportunities for teachers and schools wishing to understand and overcome barriers to learning in maths. These are:

• Trouble with Maths tours – series of one-day events led by Steve Chinn
• Overcoming barriers to Maths – a four-day University Advanced Certificate course led by Steve Chinn
• National Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties conference – a one-day event with leading national and international contibutors
